Monique Barsh is a dynamo. The pint-sized actress is making moves in her field and has used a strong support system to drive her to her destiny. For Mo, it started early, “When I was 5 years old, performing in the Easter program at church I knew I was born to be an entertainer. Also my memory is incredible, very helpful to remember lines.”
Each actress and actor has a method to their craft and Mo is no different, “I use my imagination and have fun! Being an actress is an anointing on my life.” Her faith and belief system keep Mo grounded and focused on achieving greater things through entertainment and spreading love. Honing her craft is also important to remaining active and relevant, Mo shares, “Training, stay ready so I don’t have to get ready…always sharpening my craft. In 2018, I landed a lead role in a short film called RED. A story about human trafficking, I felt I truly developed as an artist. I went deep into making sure I embodied the character. Brought me to tears daily, because I was able to be a voice to the voiceless and make an impact in our communities. That’s what acting means to me! The passion has to be within us! It’s bigger than fame, I want to impact the world with my gifts and build a legacy.”
Be on the lookout for from Monique Barsh, “Next, I’m in a profound stage play with playwright Yolanda Tompkins from Atlanta, GA called Deliver Me from Self, that’s going on tour in St. Louis, MO. Simply enjoying my journey for what God has planned for me. Jeremiah 29:11”
Monique is a living, breathing example of what strong faith and belief can do in your life, so stay tuned for this one, there’s Mo’ to come!
